Sarah Rose Troughton
CStJ, Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire
As Lord-Lieutenant, Sarah Rose Troughton is the Queen's representative in Wiltshire and took up the post in 2012. She lives near Swindon with husband Peter and they have three children and nine grandchildren.
She maintains a keen interest in all aspects of life in Wiltshire, including council services, commerce and industry, the armed forces and many voluntary, community and charity groups.
A keen gardener, she was formerly chair of Chelsea Physic Garden in London. She paints as a hobby and was previously vice chair of Patrons of British Art and on the friends’ council of the Tate Gallery.

Michael Wade
OBE
Michael Wade has enjoyed a long career in insurance leading to his appointment in 2013 as the Crown representative for insurance at the Cabinet Office, advising the government on insurance and re-insurance risks. He has also advised the current and former chancellors on insurance markets.
Michael Wade was awarded an OBE in the Queen’s birthday honours in 2018 for services to government and the economy.
His interests include opera, orchestral music, architecture and politics. He supports Moorfields eye hospital and is a trustee of The Salisbury Cathedral Girl Choristers’ Fund. His home is at The Walton Canonry in Salisbury Cathedral Close.
